Since the gate is an outward swing, the gate opener does not achieve as good a grip on the gate over an inward swing. For the reason, we decided to go with the heavy duty arm. This automatic gate opener is lower geared trading off speed for power. This solar electric gate opener can support gates up to 350kg and up to 4.2m long. The gate opener kit is simple DIY and includes the solar panel and batteries to get you through days without sun.
