Solar Automatic Gate Opener Installation

This picture features our solar gate opener double swing installation. This solar gate automation is our medium sized standard duty kit rigged for an inward swing configuration. Since a gate stop in the middle of the driveway is unfeasible, we elected to put in a curved stop on the concrete sleepers. The solar gate opener then has an extender bracket to catch the other side to prevent hyper extension. The cord across the driveway for the electric gate opener is laid in the bitumen and covered with silicon. Our solar gate opener is completely stand alone and straight forward DIY. The automatic gate opener requires no external power to operate and stores the power in on board batteries. The automatic gate opener also features a simple twist to open manual release system.
